We don't speak often about the Paris Town Hall because there are so many other buildings and museum to see in Paris, but this building shows us a really beautiful architecture in the "Renaissance" style. At the beginning, an Italian architecte, Dominique de Cortone, know under the name of "Le Boccador" received the mission to build a Town Hall during the "Renaissance" (16th century). During the "Commune" the People of Paris burned this Town Hall in 1871, destroying many works of art, maps and also archives on Paris history. After a concourse, Ballu and Depserthes, two architectes had to rebuilt a new Town Hall and in fact they built exactly the same building as the one built by Le Boccador ! Its the reason why you can see many beautiful ornements and sculptures on it !
